Ian Edwards has been involved in road safety for over 20 years.  He has worked on a wide range of road safety initiatives in both the public and private sectors.  These initiatives have included:

• The EU-funded HERMES project
• The development of fleet materials for a multinational company
• Work for national governments
• The development of Road Safety GB's Road Safety Practitioner’s Foundation Course and its Behavioural Change Course. 

Ian holds the following qualifications:

• A Master of Science degree in Social Research and Evaluation
• A Professional Diploma in Traffic Accident and Safety Management
• A Certificate in Education and Training. 

Ian is currently undertaking a PhD with the University of Sheffield's Psychology Department researching impulsivity and young drivers. 

Ian’s other research interests include:

• The use of e-learning in road safety
• The application of behavioural change techniques
• Older drivers.

In 2015 Ian was awarded Road Safety GB's Lynda Chalker Award for Road Safety.

Neil is a highly experienced road safety practitioner having worked in the field since 1990.  Initially Neil worked as a driving instructor delivering numerous courses including:

• Delivering in-car and classroom elements of Kirklees Council’s National Driver Improvement Scheme, Speed Awareness and Environmental courses, progressing to Internal quality monitor
• Worked for a national driving school to:
• Recruit, train, manage and oversee quality and instructional standards of tutors
• Develop and deliver the tutor training course at Cranfield University
• Develop and roll-out the BTEC in Driving Science.

Since 2009, Neil has led on several projects for New View Consultants including:

• South Yorkshire Safer Roads Partnership’s Eco-Business Driving Scheme
• Barnsley and Doncaster Councils Eco-Business Driving Scheme
• Mercedes Benz Driving Academy (UK and USA) – hazard perception package
• North Yorkshire Council - Walk-wise
• E-learning development for:
• London Road Safety Council
• Lewisham Council - Pre-CBT
• Buckinghamshire CC
• Kent CC

Neil is a DVSA grade A driving instructor.  He holds a City and Guilds 7307 Certificate in Teaching Adult Learners and has attended Cranfield University's course on Managing Human Factors in Driving.

Dave qualified as an approved driving instructor in 1994 and has worked in the driver training field since that time. 

Since 2009, as a founding member of eDriving Solutions, Dave has worked on many projects, including:

• Sheffield City Councils Eco-Business Driving Scheme
• Mercedes Benz Driving Academy (UK, Canada and USA) - classroom training sessions
• London Road Safety Council - Vulnerable Road User - e-learning
• Lewisham Pre-CBT - e-learning
• Walk-wise Kids for North Yorkshire Council
• Buckinghamshire Older driver, Winter driving and Speed choice e-learning modules

Dave holds the following qualifications:

• City and Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Delivering Learning (7302)
• City and Guilds Level 4 Certificate in Further Education Teaching (7407)
• Dave also attended Cranfield University's course on Managing Human Factors in Driving.

 Dave's main role is resource development including:

• Graphic design
• Video capture and editing
• e-learning development

Julie comes from an education background and has worked extensively with children and young people with special educational needs.  Julie has worked in both primary and college settings.  She has extensive experience of working with children and young people with communication needs, having worked for a number of years in Doncaster's world renowned Communication Specialist College.  Julie coordinates the Walk-wise Kids project, liaising closely with a number of road safety organisations.
